How many times have we given up on ourselves? How many times have we become angry with God? How many times have we hung upon the “cross” of day-to-day life with mortgage/rent nails, car payment nails, relationship nails, depression nails, and failure nails in our hands and feet screaming “Father, why has thou forsaken me?”
These feelings are known to occur when you are at the end of your human strength. You’ve thrown in the towel. You’ve given up. I quit! No strength. No desire to continue. You’re all used up. There is too much pressure. Your done. It is at this precise moment that you finally get out of your own way and allow God to handle your situation.
Remember, your life comes from God but it is you that must fulfill it. However, as long as you believe that you have ALL the answers and all the strength and resources to achieve God’s purpose for your life, you shall block God’s ability to move on your behalf. When you believe that it is you and only YOU that can make anything happen you limit the unlimited possibilities of God.
This is why we fail sometimes. Sometimes failure and disappointment protects us. It’s like a red light on our spiritual walk. Sometimes failure and disappointment puts you in a place were you are forced to see the power of God. Sometimes we must be brought low so that we may be raise up high. Sometimes when we are ready to quit it is really God saying “be still and know that I am God.”
Sometimes it is through our own failures, set-backs and disappointments that we are stopped and God actually gets an opportunity to give us what we really need in life. Like the Teacha says, “when you loose you job you find your work!” Be Guided! If we believe that God has a purpose for our lives then we must trust in ALL situations that God is truly Guiding Our Direction. During this holiday season be careful not to forget God. Instead, fortify your relationship with God this year by Fasting And Inspecting The Heart! Words from a Temple of Hiphop member....

"The Gospel of Hiphop " Krs One 1-10 1. The Temple of Hiphop is a Hiphop preservation society and international Hiphop ministry. Commonly and traditionally spelled Hip Hop, hip-hop and Hiphop, Hiphop is a term which describes our collective conciousness- a conciousness that projects our culture and elements into existance. Different from hip-hop and Hip Hop, Hiphop is a spiritual experience. Our approach to Hiphop reaches far beyond music entertainment. Hiphop is our culture and lifestyle. 2. In its actual essence Hiphop cannot be (and should not be) totally interpeted, defined or described in words. It is a Feeling, an Awarness, a State of mind, an empowering Lifestyle. However, in our time there are some things that Hiphop is, and some things that Hiphop is not. 3. Hiphop celebrates life which includes your death. Hiphop does not celebrate death which includes your life. 4. However,for many years because we did not clearly define Hiphop for ourselves, others outside of our culture took the liberty to define Hiphop for themselves. Such foreign definitions and interpetations of Hiphop have led to the exploitation of our elements and the confusion of our people. The Temple of Hiphop teaches Hiphop as the name of our collective conciousness. 5. Hiphop as conciousness manifests as an alternative human behavior that enables one to transform subjects and objects in an attempt to express and/or change the character and desires of one's inner-being. This interpetation is what has worked for us. Hiphop is not murder and crime for us! Hiphop is peace and prosperity for us. 6. True Hiphop is beyond entertainment. It is transformative power. Its elements are seen throughout human history and all over the world. 7. Wheather on the cave walls of Northern Africa 20,000 years ago, or as Egyptian heiroglyphics with its letters and characters describing anchient life some 10,000 years ago, or as Mayan and Inca pyramid and temple hieroglyphs (Graphiti Art), or as the Griots and Djelees who performed for the royal courts of Ghana, Song hai (present-day Mali) or some 2,000 years ago (Emcees/Deejays), or more recently as the Capoiera martial artists of 16th century Angola (Breakers) Hiphop has always existed. 8. Even though the Temple of Hiphop recognizes that Kool DJ Herc begins playing the breaks of records in the parks and community centers of the Bronx New York sometime around 1972,and Afrika bambaataa begins Hip Hop in November of 1974; the Temple of Hiphop approaches Hiphop as conciousness and begins Hiphop in 1970 which marks the closing of Hiphop's Dark Age.
